Every Story Roots pack carries an FSSAI licence number. FSSAI is India's national food-safety regulator; the licence means the product is made and sold under India's food-safety law, in a licensed facility, with a verifiable licence number you can look up. It's the baseline of safety and traceability — printed on the pack, not hidden.
Our spice is produced in a facility certified to BRCGS — a globally recognised, independently audited food-safety and quality standard, benchmarked by the Global Food Safety Initiative, that international retailers require of their suppliers. The same manufacturing discipline that lets a product be sold to the world's strictest buyers goes into the packet you cook from at home.
ISO 9001:2015 is the international standard for quality management systems. Certification means production runs on documented, audited processes with built-in checks and continuous improvement — which is what keeps quality consistent from the first pack to the millionth.
Euro-MRL means the spice meets the European Union's Maximum Residue Levels for pesticides — among the strictest limits in the world. Rather than claim a vague "pure," we hold to a specific, checkable bar: residues within Europe's safe limits. It's our floor, not our ceiling.

We lead with what we can show: tested, traceable, certified within globally-accepted safe limits, clean-label. We don't chase "zero-input" or "chemical-free" claims we can't stand behind — the honest bar is residues within Europe's strict safe limits, and that is the bar we hold.
We're backed by a technologically serious manufacturer, which is how the standard holds from day one. But the promise anchors on the standard, not any one supplier: "made to export standard" travels with us as our sourcing grows.
